Kwanza Sands Minerals is a silica-sand quarry located in Athlone Industria, Western Cape, South Africa.
About Us
Since 2018, Kwanza has beneficiated and distributed high-grade silica sand to glass, filtration, foundry, building, fertiliser, and leisure companies across South Africa and neighbouring countries.
Kwanza’s production plant boasts impressive speed of production, and versatility in developing and making a diverse range of products in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Our product is always carefully recovered with the awareness that what we do, and how we do it, affects our surroundings. We are committed to responsible mining practices that minimize our impact on the environment and preserve the health and safety of our community and employees.
Kwanza conforms to the Mine Health and Safety Act
The requirements of the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries in terms of our water use and atmospheric emissions, and the requirements of the Mining Charter as described in our Social and Labour Plan.
